DEVICES, FRESHNESS & FOLLOW-THROUGH
A saved copy should tell the truth
Connectivity changes. The meaning of a record should not. People need to know what they have, how fresh it is and what still needs confirmation.
Saved
Authorized records cached for the current account, school and child can remain available. A saved copy should identify its freshness rather than pretend to be a new read.
Draft
A local draft is work in progress. It is not an approved result, sent message or published learning record.
Pending
A command with an unknown outcome retains its exact request identity. Retrying must not silently create a second message or release.
Confirmed
A server receipt establishes what happened. Result entry/release and material Office approvals require an online check.
Scope changed
Switching accounts, schools or children replaces the relevant context. Known relationship removal clears the child’s saved records.
